What is it?
The 2nd Annual Stud Run is Sand Lake PTSA event.
Run, walk, or roll into February with Anchorage’s only lake-based winter wellness fun run! This unique, untimed fun run/walk will follow an approximately 1.75 mile course around frozen Sand Lake, beginning and ending near the dock behind Sand Lake Elementary.
Why “Stud Run”? This is a new and completely unique way to get fresh air, have fun with your Anchorage community, burn some extra calories before Super Bowl Sunday, and – best of all – support the students of Sand Lake Elementary!
This family-friendly event will feature warming tents with hot cocoa, coffee and snacks waiting for you at the finish line along with a finishers medal for children 13 and under. Whether you are an experienced winter runner or this will be your first experiment with frozen lake recreation, come out and join us!
Be a part of the start of something big and help us begin a new Anchorage winter tradition with the second annual Stud Run on Saturday, February 11th ON Sand Lake!
WHEN: Saturday, February 11, 10am start time. Same-day bib pickup and late registration will begin at 9:00 am.
